Mission: To provide a quality Christian preschool education designed to meet the physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of children ages three months to five years.
Goals: The FBCC CDC recognizes that human beings are active learners from birth who construct their own knowledge from meaningful interactions with the ideas, concepts, materials and persons in their immediate environment and community. The FBCC CDC believes that each child is entitled to responsive and respectful care, attuned to his or her age, developmental abilities, individual temperament, learning style, types of intelligence, experiences and interests. Through a collaborative framework, parents and teachers work together to create an inclusive, safe, and nurturing environment where all children will grow and thrive guided by the philosophy and principles of the High/ScopeĀ® Educational Approach to early childhood care and learning in the context of the Conscious DisciplineĀ®, a comprehensive social and emotional intelligence classroom management program that empowers both teachers and children based on current brain research, child development information and developmentally appropriate practices.
Governance: The FBCC CDC is governed by a Board of Trustees made up of members of the Church at Clarendon. The FBCC CDC has an active Parents Activity Board.
