Caregivers/Educarers are selected on the basis of their desire, enthusiasm and love of being in the presence of and care for young children, their ability to design, develop and deliver brain compatible and developmentally appropriate in both practice and expectation, active and participatory opportunities, a respect for and understanding of human growth and development and instincts and insight into philosophies and strategies in guiding the behavior of children in ways that contribute to their social success and ability to inspire and instill in individual children a love of life-long learning. Candidates must also have unconditional love, unlimited patience, infectious laughter, be fiercely flexible and pay meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications for Lead Teachers:

  • Have the ability to provide a warm and nurturing environment that stimulates and nurtures children's growth and development intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially
  • Successfully pass background check


All candidates must have training in Early Childhood Education and will be expected to provide official transcripts and diploma before hire.

Minimum Qualifications for Co-Teachers:

  • Must possess a high school diploma
  • CDA and experience working in an early childhood setting preferred
  • Willingness to provide support and assistance to the classroom teacher and other team members
  • Willingness to provide support and assistance to the classroom teacher and other team members

Other necessary qualifications serious candidates must possess, include but are not limited to, a willingness to see only the best in every moment of childhood, dig in dirt, speak and walk slowly, explore insects and bugs, cover their hands in paint, make animal noises, sweat, hum lullabies, encourage children to wipe up spills, dance as though no one is watching, push children on swings, express curiosity, hold dirty hands, accept warm, wet kisses, smile when they do not want to smile, wonder, dress up in 'hand me down clothes', welcome long, warm hugs, laugh, clean runny noses, repeat expectations slowly and often, listen to interesting stories, sing as though no one is listening, radiate joy, live the world through the eyes of a child, consume pretend food, read the same book over and over, imagine and pretend, assuage fear during fire drills and repeat themselves as though they are saying something for the first time.
