The First Baptist Church of Clarendon Child Development Center Junior Kindergarten program is designed to provide an individualized and differentiated learning experience for children whose birthday is just beyond the 30 September cut-off date as well as those whose Kindergarten experience may benefit from another year of learning in a more intimate setting.

Our Junior Kindergarten program provides children with a brain-compatible developmentally appropriate educational experience organized into thematic units of information and inquiry which interweave all domains of growth and development and curricular content areas guided by the key developmental indicators of the High Scope Educational Framework. Active and participatory lessons and learning are child centered and provide experiential, open-ended opportunities for learning within the context of a classroom community guided by the principles of Conscious Discipline. Christian and Character Education is central to all learning at the FBCC CDC and is integrated into all the daily activities of the Junior Kindergarten.
